About

Digital Humanities is the annual international conference of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations, which includes the ALLC: The European Association for Digital Humanities (ALLC), the Association for Computers and the Humanities (ACH), the Canadian Society for Digital Humanities / Société canadienne des humanités numériques (CSDH/SCHN), centerNet, the Australasian Association for Digital Humanities (aaDH), and the Japanese Association for Digital Humanites (JADH). The Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations is an umbrella organisation whose goals are to promote and support digital research and teaching across arts and humanities disciplines, drawing together humanists engaged in digital and computer-assisted research, teaching, creation, dissemination, and beyond, in all areas reflected by its diverse membership.

The Digital Humanities conference in 2013 will be hosted by the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The first joint conference was held in 1989, at the University of Toronto, coinciding with the 16th annual meeting of ALLC, and the ninth annual meeting of the ACH-sponsored International Conference on Computers and the Humanities (ICCH).
